Our Story
In 2013, after working in the insurance industry for 10 years Sal decided to open an office in the city he grew up in. Covina had been home to both Sal & Mitchell since they were in elementary school.
After opening the insurance agency and working primarily with educators, Sal saw a huge need for retirement planning within the educator community so he began the process to get the appropriate licenses and registrations to provide retirement and investing services.
As the firm began to grow, Sal needed help, so he asked his brother Mitchell to join the team. Mitch officially joined the team in 2015 and Flores-Chatfield & Chatfield Inc. was born.
The firm continues to grow and evolve, helping not only educators, but all public servants, and working families, and retirees.

Sal opened the Covina branch in 2013 with a background in Insurance and Financial Services. Since then Sal has evolved the practice and now focuses solely on the retirement planning and investing portions of the firm.
Sal is a proud part of the Covina Valley community. Sal is a commissioner for the City of Covina Finance Advisory Commission. He is also current president of the Covina Valley Optimist Club.
MITCHELL CHATFIELD

Mitchell joined the team in 2015 and FC&C Financial was born. Mitchell was the catalyst in founding Chatfield Wealth Management and eventually growing into a financial advising firm.
Mitchell's heart is dedicated to giving back to his community. He is the past president of the Covina Kiwanis Club, and founding member of the Covina Valley Optimist Club.
DOREEN COHEN
Executive Assistant
Doreen is the backbone of the firm. Doreen is charged with managing all of the firm partnerships, client communication, and the firm's calendar. She keeps the firm organized, makes sure our clients are always informed, and makes sure we all have fun doing it.
Doreen has also lived in Covina most of her life, and has been involved with the Covina Sunrise Rotary and Covina-Valley PTA.
